Thanks, Taja! I did grow to like Sabine once she became more vulnerable, even though first part was a struggle for me. But the best part was still Rydstrom. :-)

Awesome review! While I wouldn’t say I hated the first part of the book, it was definitely the weaker and slower part for me for the reasons you mention. But despite that, I really liked Sabine. I loved her unapologetic behavior, her scheming, and how she managed to turn Rydstrom’s world and priorities upside down. And I definitely agree about the emotional climax.
