The more I think about, the more I realise how hard it is to translate that kind of almost slapstick humour into text. And Sands does it really well in this book, I think.

I started rereading it today. There are even more complications than I remembered and it's a lot of fun. I couldn't forget the scene with Aggie, though ;)

I've only read one of her historical paranormals and it was a novella. I enjoyed it, but I'm not a big fan of PNR, so I probably shouldn't be the one you ask.

Allison, I'm sure I'll be rereading this someday. It's just one of those books!

Holly, so her books in other subgenres are good, too? I'm so glad I found a historical author to glom this year. I love paranormals, but there's nothing like a good historical to make me happy. I just borrowed The Chase from the library, and I'm saving it for a slumpy day.

I just recently started reading Sands myself. I finished two of her Highlander historicals and have several more in my TBR pile that I can't wait to get to.

So far she's shown herself to be adept at taking silly situations and making them really work. I have this one TBR - I think I'll bump it up.

This one's in my keeper shelves. I'll have to dig it out and reread it, even though the TBR box would never permit a single reread.
