Uni student looking for romance readers to answer some questions

I was requested by a fellow romance reader to pass this on to the romance reading community. Sarah is a student at UTS and she’s looking for readers who love or hate romance to answer a survey. Her first assignment is due on Monday, so if you can respond fairly quickly I think she would appreciate it. The rest of this post is taken from Sarah’s email.

This semester I’m taking a subject called ‘Writing Laboratory’. I have two assignments for this subject. The first is a ‘workbook’, a lead up to the second assignment a piece of creative writing to be disseminated publicly.

The workbook will be me working through ideas and possibilities for the second piece. For this I’d love for romance readers, bloggers, tweeters, publishers, authors and those who hate romance to answer some questions for me to use as guidance for what to avoid, what not to avoid, why people love or hate romance etc.

At this stage the second assignment will be a series of text messages, each text will be a scene from a romance novel I’ll be writing. I’ll need people to receive the text (romance lovers or haters!) the ‘novel’ is supposed to be interactive so the reader can send me texts asking me to stop sending texts or if there’s something that reader doesn’t like I can adjust it for that reader (and that reader only) an example would be if someone has a certain look they prefer in a hero I can change to their preferences  or even if I’m writing a Beta hero and the reader prefers an alpha I can change the hero.

If you would be interested in answering questions and or receiving texts please send an email to sarah.henderson-1@student.uts.edu.au.
